A Big Thanks to the team over at Art.T.t in judging my work as 1st place winner in this years competition! I’m very excited about this lil project because its been quiet personal to me. And was something I’d thought of as a project for a while. Always working with recycled materials to create messages I’m very proud this work has been received so well, I am on top of my smoking world today!

This is my Entry for this year called “Our Earth Butt?” I collected my own butts over several months and also collected some discarded one’s from around the street. Took a globe and built this monstrosity. It now makes me ill thinking of having one.
I filmed some of the process so I will make a youtube soon.
Quite happy to anounce my work Make War – Not Peace will be preimering at this years Oxford Arts Festival – Film Festival more info here at there web site: http://www.oxfordartsfestival.com.au
Hello and thanks for tuning in again to the Aj McGay channel. I have another video artwork here I’ve been working away on. I made the music and filmed most of the images, thanks to the great people at internet archive for having a wealth of resources available to the public to use like so.
This work is about encapsulating our world from different moments in time and the motions through it. These movements indicate sometimes a world focused on more bad influence than good.
It is also in a way a tribute to the Japanese through the use of Harry Truman’s speeches about the bombing of Hiroshima. Atomic explosions have been a big influence on my work of late and are something I find beautifully horrifying.
You can click the above picture to view the work or alternatively on the right hand bar check out this and my other videos.
